Clarence Heckethorn Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2000 by Mr. Clarence Heckethorn ’40 (journalism). In 1937, Mr. Heckethorn was the recipient of the Nevada Press Association Scholarship, which was instrumental in allowing Mr. Heckethorn to achieve his degree. Mr. Heckethorn wanted to return the favor to a deserving journalism student. Recipients of this award will be full-time students pursuing a journalism major with a 3.0 GPA
