Sgt. George Sullivan Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1998 after University of Nevada, Reno Police Sergeant George D. Sullivan was killed in the line of duty. He had been with the University Police Department for 19 years. Seargant Sullivan was well-known and well-liked by the campus community; he was known for his care and concern for his fellow officers, friendliness and sense of humor. Recipients shall be full-time students majoring in criminal justice with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a preference will be given to those planning a career in law enforcement. Recipients shall demonstrate financial need.
