Hugh Ingle Jr. Endowed Scholarship

A veteran of WWII and of the Korean Conflict, Hugh C. Ingle, Jr., ’48 (mining engineering) began his mining career at age ten, in 1933. His career brought him all over the world, from Oregon to Peru. At the time of his passing, Ingle, Jr., was serving as president of the Nevada Miners and Prospectors Association. Established in his honor in 2005, this scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduates majoring in mining engineering at the Mackay School. Freshmen applying for the scholarship will have a minimum 3.0 GPA; all other applicants will hold and maintain a 3.4 GPA.
