Dr. Robert McQueen Emeritus Endowed Scholarship

Robert McQueen was a significant reason for the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Psychology’s rise to national prominence in the 1960s-1970s. One of the many students Dr. McQueen mentored over the years was Dr. Allan Gerson. Gerson, who was the first student to earn a Ph.D. in clinical psychology on this campus, credits McQueen for keeping him on track in college. In gratitude, Gerson established this scholarship in 2005 to honor his mentor and benefit juniors and seniors majoring in psychology. Recipients shall have a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled full time.
