Anwar and Charlotte Mack Medical Education Scholarship

The Anwar and Charlotte Mack Medical Education Scholarship was created by Dr. Anwar and Charlotte Mack to support students in the medical and nursing fields. This scholarship aims to aid minority students and students from single-parent households. Recipients shall be pursuing a graduate degree in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program in the Orvis School of Nursing or a medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Preference will be given to students who meet one of the following criteria: single parent, students from single-parent households, underrepresented student in the nursing and medical professions, or student with demonstrated financial need. Each year, $1,000 award will be given to a medical student and $1,000.00 will be given to a nursing student. Scholarship may be renewable for up to 3 years and students must reapply. If there are no eligible candidates who meet the criteria, and/or there are insufficient eligible candidates to utilize the available funding, scholarships may be awarded to recipients pursuing a graduate degree in the Orvis School of Nursing or a medical degree from the University.
