BHA Annual Scholarship

The BHA Annual Scholarship was established by the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers to provide support for students pursuing degrees in biology, natural resources and political science majors at the University of Nevada, Reno to support North America s outdoor heritage through research and engagement with public lands. Recipients shall be full-time students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 pursuing an undergraduate degree in majors including biology, environmental engineering, environmental science, forest management and ecology, hydrogeology, wildlife ecology & conservation, or political science. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated experience in or a commitment to education and work on behalf of wild public lands, waters and wildlife. This includes student s coursework, volunteer and involvement in student clubs or organizations and/or work experience. Recipients are encouraged to attend one quarterly Nevada BHA Chapter event during the year in which the scholarship was awarded.
