William Edward Wilbur Madsen Endowed Scholarship

This endowment was created to memorialize the life, spirit and accomplishments of William Edward Wilbur Madsen. A lifelong Nevadan, Will grew up on the ski slopes. He was Nevada’s state high school champion in 1982 and competed as an NCAA skier for the University of Nevada, Reno ski team. Will embraced life to the fullest and was a model of modesty. His enthusiastic approach to life was both inspirational and contagious, and he had a way of motivating his family, friends, and students and bringing out the best in all of them. Recipients shall be full-time students taking a minimum of 12 regularly scheduled credits, an active member of the ASUN sanctioned club that supports competitive ski competition and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 to be considered for this award.
