Susan Forrest Journalism Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2003 in honor of Susan Forrest ’82 (journalism). While working for the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, Susan wrote more than 130 stories about convicted murderer Willie Horton. Her coverage led to a law repealing pardons for prisoners serving life sentences for first-degree murder and her Pulitzer Prize in 1988. Recipients will be full-time students, pursuing a journalism major in news with a 3.0 GPA.
