George Basta Business Scholarship

The Basta family established this scholarship in memory of George Michael Basta, the late owner of the National Oil and Burner Company and inductee into the Northern Nevada Business Leaders Hall of Fame. Basta was a proud graduate of Nevada economics and was an active community member. Recipients will be undergraduate business majors and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to applicants with financial need from White Pine County, and then those from Douglas County.
