Marilyn P. & William G. Flangas Endowed Scholarship

A WWII veteran, Distinguished Nevadan William G. (Bill) Flanagas ’51 (metallurgical engineering), ’58 (mining engineering) served on the State Ethics Commission. His wife, Marilyn Flanagas, served as Legal Clerk for the Clark County District Attorney before beginning her career as a Realtor. Established in 2005, this scholarship benefits juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in mining engineering in the Mackay School. Recipients will be full-time students with a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students with the highest level of need.
