Honor S. and Max L. Jones, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Max Jones ’60 (electrical engineering) worked for 31 years at Sierra Pacific Power Company, where he ultimately served as Senior Vice President. For his work in the field, he is the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Nevada Engineer Award. Established in 2007, this scholarship is awarded to juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with a 2.85 GPA. Recipients will take a minimum of 15 credits per semester while on scholarship.
