Janet Usinger Endowed (Odd FY) Scholarship

Established in 2007 by Janet Usinger, who completed her bachelor s degree as well as her master s degree in Nutrition from UNR in 1978. After working with her father in a family business, she joined UNR through Cooperative Extension in 1981 as an Area Nutrition Specialist. In 1989, she became an administrator for Cooperative Extension and served in a state-wide capacity for over 10 years. For her, education is more about exposure to and exploration of ideas than specific subject matter content. She chose to establish this scholarship so that undergraduate students could stretch their imaginations as well. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester, pursuing a degree in nutrition or student travel in CABNR, with a 3.0 GPA.
