Virgil Getto Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2007 in honor of Virgil M. Getto a native Nevadan and lifelong resident of Fallon and the son of Italian immigrant parents who settled in Nevada. Virgil served as an elected official to the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Assembly for a total of 24 years. Recipients of this scholarship will be a full-time students, pursuing an undergraduate degree in CABNR in either the area of animal and plant production or disciplines relating to it with a 3.0 GPA. Recipients must be from Fallon, Nevada, attended one year or received an associate degree from Western Nevada College and demonstrate financial need.
