Barbara E. and Procter R. Hug, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The late Procter R. Hug, Jr. was born in Reno in 1931, graduated from Sparks High School and received his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1953 where he served as an ASUN senator and as the student body president. In 1977 President Carter appointed Hug to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Friends and former law clerks of the Honorable Procter R. Hug, Jr. established this fund to benefit Nevada high school graduates who are attending Nevada full-time with at least a 3.0 GPA.
