Marsha H. Read Annual Scholarship

Professor Benedict, a member of the nutrition faculty since 1990, established this scholarship in 2017 to recognize her colleague and friend who generously devoted her knowledge and skill to create programs and opportunities for students to pursue careers in nutrition and dietetics. Marsha Read s leadership and advocacy helped ensure that nutrition achieved the recognition it deserved among the other life sciences and that nutrition and dietetic students understood their responsibility to hold themselves and one another to high standards. Recipients shall be pursuing a graduate degree in the nutrition program and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
