William J. "Hoot" Newman Hydro Endowed Scholarship

William A. Harrigan, a long-time friend and Mackay School classmate, created this this endowment in 2010 to honor Hoot and his dedication to water resources, mining, Mackay, the University, and the State of Nevada. Recipients shall be students in the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering pursuing a degree in hydrologic sciences or geography (major, minor or graduate) whose studies and professional interests emphasize water resources/management and/or water conservation Recipients will have a 3.0 GPA.
