Joe W. Howard Memorial Endowed Scholarship

A veteran of the Korean War, Joe Wesley Howard ’61 (civil engineering) was a founding partner of SE&A Engineers and Associates, which was ranked in the top 3% of engineering consulting firms in the country. To honor his life, his family established this scholarship in 2011 for full-time juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in the College of Engineering with preference given to those majoring in civil engineering. Recipients will be Nevada high school graduates, and if there are no qualified Nevada high school graduates, then second preference will be given to a recipient from a geographical area that receives preferential tuition assistance. Recipients will have a 2.75 GPA.
