George A., Jr. and Arlene R. Summerhill Endowed Scholarship

George A. Summerhill, Jr., a friend of the University and Arlene R. Summerhill ’95(Ed.D.) come from a history of, belief in, and support for higher education. Their sons George A. Summerhill III ’94 (criminal justice) and Craig A. Summerhill ’86 (music) are alumni of the College of Liberal Arts while son, Bradley P., teaches English in the NSHE at Truckee Meadows Community College. Recipients of institutional support throughout their own education, George and Arlene are committed to student support. It is for this reason that they are establishing this scholarship endowment for juniors or seniors in the College of Liberal Arts or the College of Education who have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Preference is for recipients with demonstrated financial need.
