Samantha Jade Wang Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Samantha Jade Wang passed away on December 16, 2014 from a heart infection (Endocarditis). She was a senior at the University of Nevada, Reno, majoring in Journalism with a minor in Photography. Sam was very creative and aspired to work in the fashion industry as a fashion editor. She had a passion for writing and capturing artistic photographs, and combined her talents in her personal blog featuring editorial, health, and beauty advice. This scholarship was established in Sam s memory for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Journalism. Recipients shall be full-time students and have a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA to receive and retain the award. Preference shall be given to recipients with demonstrated financial need.
