Emilia Mao Lee Accounting Endowed Scholarship

Mrs. Emilia Mao Lee and her husband, Che-Ching Lee, received college degrees in 1959 in Taiwan, she in economics and he in engineering. The couple immigrated to the United States, where he received both his master’s and doctorate degrees. He worked for 25 years as an engineer with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company and she worked in the accounting field. The couple retired in 1994 and relocated from St. Louis, Missouri to Sparks, Nevada. Mrs. Lee established this scholarship to benefit full-time undergraduate accounting students with a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA. Preference will be given to recipients with demonstrated financial need and consideration shall be given to those students with active records of volunteer community service experience and participation in extracurricular activities.
