Ferguson Family Trust Liberal Arts Endowed Scholarship
Roberta and Neal Ferguson came to Reno in 1970 to continue their careers. After finishing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, Roberta taught at the university and then established a private clinical practice. She helped establish the Professor Paul McReynolds Memorial Fund in Psychology and has served on the College of Liberal Arts Advisory Board since 1990. Neal began at the University of Nevada as a professor in the Department of History. He then became the Dean of the College of Extended Studies and served in that capacity from 1980-2003 before returning to the history department to complete his career at the University. Both Roberta and Neal have strong continuing associations with the University of Nevada and have established this scholarship endowment to help older students finish their degrees in the College of Liberal Arts. Recipients may be either full-time or part-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree in any major in the College of Liberal Arts and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, a Nevada resident and age 25 or older.
