Jack Boland Endowed Scholarship

Jack Boland 76 (economics) was a resident of Lincoln Hall and was a campus student worker in the office of business and economic research. At the behest of members of Nevada s economics department faculty, Jack went on to the University of Texas to pursue his Ph.D. With all but his dissertation finished, Jack began his career as an econometrician for the State of Texas Health and Human Services. Jack established this scholarship in 2015 to support full-time undergraduate or graduate students in economics at the University of Nevada, Reno in The College of Business. Recipients will have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to receive and retain the award.
