William A. Harrigan Mackay School of Mines Endowed Scholarship

A long-time supporter, friend, and cherished alumnus of the Mackay School of Earth Sciences & Engineering, William A. Harrigan ’48 (mining engineering) passed away December 8, 2014. As a Nevada Legacy Society member, Mr. Harrigan remembered the Mackay School in his estate plans, specifically wanting to provide scholarships for Mackay students. This scholarship, established in 2015, is awarded to full-time students pursuing a degree in the Mackay School. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA while on scholarship.
