Jack & Susan McLeod Scholar Leader Endowed Scholarship

A veteran of more than 50 years of investing and researching the stock market, Jack Mc Leod moved to Reno in the 1990s and became a great advocate for the University of Nevada, Reno. For 44 years, McLeod worked for a variety of stock brokerage companies including his own from 1970 to 1973. In 2005 he retired from brokerage and set up a money management company with his son Scott specializing in small growth companies. Recipients will be pursuing a pre-business or business degree in the College of Business with a preference given to students pursuing a degree in finance. Recipients will be a first-generation student and have a minimum GPA of 3.25 to receive and retain the award.
