Henry Malin Prupas, MD Medical Student Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2016 in memory of Henry Malin Prupas, a charter member of the first class of the University of Nevada School of Medicine who went on to practice rheumatology in Reno, Nevada from 1980 to 2016. In his medical practice, Dr. Prupas was not only dedicated to the treatment of his patients but also to participating in clinical trials and other academic studies designed to bring the most advanced breakthroughs in medicine to patients. He was a clinical investigator for more than 140 clinical drug trials for new arthritis drugs and on the Speakers Bureau for several pharmaceutical companies. Recipients shall be residents of Northern Nevada with a preference for recipients with demonstrated financial need.
