Opal F. Adams Endowed Scholarship

Opal Adams ’85 M.S. (geology) began her career as an exploration geologist before starting the graduate program at the Mackay School. After a career that embodied her passion for mining, Opal has given back by serving as a University of Nevada, Reno Foundation trustee and a member of the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering Advisory Board and creating this scholarship to assist full-time undergraduate or graduate students in the College of Science with a minimum 3.0 GPA, with preference given to students in the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering.
