Salyer Legacy Nursing Endowed Scholarship

Lou and Bill Salyer married in 1963 and remained the love of each other s life for 50 years, celebrating their golden anniversary just a year before Lou died in 2014. At that time it was Bill s strong wish that her warm and thoughtful spirit be honored and memorialized. This desire took the form of an endowed scholarship to assist the nursing students at the Orvis School of Nursing. Upon the untimely death of Bill in 2017, the remaining Salyer family members (nieces and nephew) are proud to support this legacy scholarship to support students pursuing a graduate degree in nursing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
