Raymond E. Williams Civil Engineering Endowed Scholarship
Raymond E. Williams 67 (civil engineering) 69 M.S. (civil engineering) was drafted into the Army and assigned to the Corps of Engineers. He was discharged from the Army in 1971 and he joined the Sacramento District of The Corps of Engineers and spent the remainder of his career in Sacramento, which Ray still calls home. He attributes much of his success to the quality of education he received at Nevada and hopes this scholarship will help ease the financial burden that current engineering students encounter, thus enabling them to focus their efforts in the classroom. Preference shall be given to U.S. citizens in the following order: (1) Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in civil engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno; (2) Students pursuing a graduate degree in civil engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno.
