Marta Elliott Endowed Scholarship

2023 Foundation Professor Marta Elliot is the current chair of the Department of Psychology and has been a professor of sociology and social psychology at the University for nearly 30 years. Working side-by-side with her students, Elliott conducts qualitative research on peoples experiences in mental health care in order to bring issues to light and effect change. Elliott established this endowment fund to provide students facing mental health challenges with support that will enable them to succeed academically and professionally despite their diagnoses. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and must be certified as having a mental health disability by the Disability Resource Center. Preference is given to students pursuing degrees in the College of Liberal Arts.
