Rives Family Endowed Scholarship in Education

Therese Hall-Peltier established this endowment to honor her mother, Jean Rives Hall, and her mother s family who played a central role in Nevada History. Recipients shall be full-time or part-time students with (1) of at least junior standing and pursuing an undergraduate degree or (2) pursuing a graduate degree in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and preference shall be given to students who are first-generation college students as defined by University of Nevada, Reno Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, with a demonstrated passion for and commitment to the field of Education as discerned by the College of Education Scholarship Committee.
