Regent Harold J. Jacobsen Endowed Scholarship

Former Chairman of the Board of Regents Harold Jacobsen 41 dedicated much of his life to the University of Nevada system and to making sure educational opportunities are available to Nevadans within their own communities. Of all his accomplishments for higher education and the University of Nevada system, Harold is most proud of Nevada s Community College system. Recipient shall be transferring into the University of Nevada, Reno from a Nevada junior college/community college, with preference given to Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College or Western Nevada College. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to receive and retain the award and may be either full-time or part-time students. Recipients shall demonstrate financial need.
