Emma Sepulveda Pulvirenti Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of this fund is to support educational opportunities for students within the College of Liberal Arts by providing funding to attract and retain highly qualified students who come from groups that have been historically underrepresented in higher education, specifically those who identify as Hispanic or Latino, international students, or immigrants. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to receive and retain the award. So long as sufficient academic progress is made, recipients may retain the award for up to four years. The donor desires that when awarding these funds, preference be given to students who also meet one of the following preferences (in ranked order of priority): 1) female students; or 2) students with demonstrated campus or community engagement, specifically those working on issues related to immigration, human rights, political participation, or social justice.
