Dr. Chuck Holt Families First Endowed Scholarship

For more than 40 years, Chuck Holt 76 (secondary education), PhD, MFT has dedicated his life to helping others. With his retirement in 2012, he finished his distinguished career with the respect, adoration, and love of thousands of clients, students, and peers. This fund was established with prodigious gratitude by his friends, colleagues and Dr. Chuck Holt himself. Recipients shall be pursuing a Master s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno, which include emphases in marriage, family, and couples counseling (MFCC); school counseling; and clinical mental health counseling. Recipients may be either full-time or part-time students with a preference for students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and who demonstrate financial need. In a given year if there are no eligible recipients as defined by the above criteria, then recipients may be pursuing a degree in Addiction Treatment Services in CASAT, or a graduate degree in the Physician s Assistant Studies Program at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
