Glen Atkinson Regional Economic Studies Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Glendel Atkinson taught economics at The College of Business from 1967 to 2006. Dr. Atkinson is passionate about Regional Economics due to his years working for Nevada state and local government and he established this fund in 2019 to give back to the university that gave him so much. Recipients shall be full-time or part-time students, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, be pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. degree in Economics and working towards a thesis or dissertation in the field of Urban or Regional Economic Studies. Preference for students with demonstrated financial need.
