Jill M. Winter Endowed Scholarship for Women in Science

This scholarship is a testament to Jill Winter s lifelong interest in the sciences, her passion for education and the advancement of women in science and her concern for those in less fortunate circumstances, but who have the desire and intent to succeed in traditionally male-oriented careers, and for whom the financial assistance provided by the scholarship will make a difference. Recipients shall be pursuing an undergraduate degree in any of the disciplines included in the College of Science, the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, or the College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. Preference shall be given to female students who: 1) are non-traditional students, returning back to college to start and/or complete their education, or 2) have dependent children.
