Dr. Carol and Sam Silverberg and Family Endowed Scholarship in Education & Human Development

At the age of 28, Carol Silverberg 64 (history), 84 (Spanish), 00 M.A. (teaching English as a second language), 08 Ph.D. (curriculum and instruction) enrolled in Reno High School to complete her diploma. She went on to earn four degrees from the University and established this scholarship to enrich the lives of other students. Recipients shall be either full-time or part-time students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in any program in the College of Education & Human Development except educational leadership. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated experience in or a commitment to working with African American communities.
