Dr. Philip B. Manwell Endowed Scholarship

Philip B. Manwell Ed.D. was a beloved organ instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno. a Julliard-trained organist, Dr. Manwell performed as a solo recitalist and chamber musician globally. His career as a church musician and as a music and humanities educator spanned 60 years. In his memory, his uncle, Roger Manwell, and friend, Katherine McCall, established this scholarship to celebrate the complementarity of art and science. Recipients shall be pursuing dual undergraduate degrees in the College of Science and the School of Arts in the College of Liberal Arts.
