Paul Mitchell Endowed Scholarship

A faculty member in the Reynolds School of Journalism, Paul Mitchell 96 M.A. (journalism), 10 Ph.D. (educational leadership) has distinguished himself as a respected advocate for First Amendment causes, rigorous training and diversity in media. His record of commitment to future generations of journalists includes service as a program director for the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education. At Nevada, Mitchell has created a legacy of outreach and motivation for students. The Paul Mitchell Endowed Scholarship honors the tremendous contributions he has made and continues to make to the world of media and the future of journalism. Recipients shall be students pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
