Russell and Kathy Fields Endowed for Mackay Student Scholarships

Russell Fields 74 (geology), 85 MBA served as president of the Nevada Mining Association for 10 years beginning in 1997. In 2005, he was named the Mackay Alumnus of the Year, and from 2010 until his retirement in 2017, Fields was the Director of the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering. He and his wife Kathy 74 (special education) established this scholarship endowment to support students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Scholarship payouts shall be no less than $2,000.00 per student per academic year.
