Larry Struve Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Debate Students

Larry Struve 64 (political science) demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the importance of debate that began during his time on the Nevada Debate Team. In his memory, his daughter Heidi Struve Currey ’96 (human ecology), along with friends of the family, established the Larry Struve Memorial Scholarship Endowment for Debate Students to celebrate his legacy and support students following in his footsteps on the Nevada Debate Team. Recipients shall be full-time students, incoming or current members of the University of Nevada, Reno Forensics Team, and demonstrate a strong involvement and commitment to the Forensics Team. If the University no longer has a Forensics Team, the scholarship will be directed to a student pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Communication Studies program.
