Pete Cladianos, Sr. and Antonia Cladianos Scholarship Endowment

Greek immigrant and Reno grocer, Peter Cladianos Sr., was a pioneer in Nevada gaming. Beginning in the 1930s with the participation of his son Pete Jr. and others in the Cladianos family, Pete Sr. built a diversified business empire. Pete Cladianos, Jr. and his sister Katherine have established this scholarship in honor of their parents and the community that their parents loved. Recipients shall be full-time students of any class standing that graduated from a northern Nevada High School. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to receive the award and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 to retain the award. Preference shall be given to recipients of Greek ancestry and members of St Anthony Greek Orthodox Church in Reno, NV. Preference shall be given to recipients with demonstrated financial need in the first year of the award.
