Howard McKissick Jr. and Sr. Scholarship Endowment

Sally (McKissick) Schulz ‘55 (daughter of Howard Sr. and sister of Howard Jr.) and her husband Otto Schulz ’55, and Howard Jr.’s widow Dorothy, respected greatly both Howard Sr. and Howard Jr.’s deep feelings for the state of Nevada and their keen interest in athletics and public service. Both Howard Jr., and Howard Sr., were outstanding alumni of the University of Nevada, Reno, and in fitting tribute of their days at the University, this scholarship was established in 1977 to support Nevada residents with a minimum 2.8 GPA and who have completed at least 3 semesters. Preference shall be given to students with background or involvement in student affairs.
