Ormat Technologies, Inc. Women and Minorities in Engineering Scholarships

Ormat Technologies, Inc. is an international company based in Reno, Nevada that supplies alternative and renewable geothermal energy technology. The purpose of the Ormat Technologies Women and Minorities in Engineering Scholarship Fund is to promote the success of women and minorities in engineering by supporting higher education expenses. Recipients shall be full-time juniors or seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 pursuing an undergraduate degree majoring in electrical or mechanical engineering or minoring in renewable energy, or a related major, at the University. The scholarship may be automatically renewed for up to 2 years and preference will be given to students with a demonstrated commitment to promoting the advancement of women in the engineer profession and students who are demographically underrepresented in the in the College of Engineering.
