School of Community Health Sciences Faculty and Staff Scholarship
Trudy A. Larson, MD is Professor and founding Dean of the School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno, which regained its independence as an academic unit in July 2017. Recognizing that scholarships are a vital tool in supporting students as they work towards professional careers in public health, Dr. Larson wishes to bring the faculty and staff together to establish a scholarship in support of the school s students. This scholarship is intended to serve as a tangible example of the faculty and staff s dedication to their students. Recipients shall be full or part-time pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in School of Community Health Sciences with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to receive and retain the award. In even years, 2020 and 2022, preference should be given to SCHS students also pursuing a minor degree in the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT).
