Dena Kruse Medical Student Memorial Scholarship

Stephanie Kruse 91 MBA, has established the Dena Kruse Medical Student Memorial Scholarship to honor her mother s memory. After teaching rural school for four years, Dena joined the Cadet Nurse Corps in July 1947. She went on to work as a registered nurse at Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa, for several years. Stephanie said her mother was committed to caring for the health of those in her care and believes Dena would have loved nothing more than to contribute to the next generation of caregivers. Recipients shall be in good standing pursuing a graduate degree in the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
