Dr. Samuel C. Chuo Memorial Annual Scholarship

The Dr. Samuel C. Chuo Memorial Annual Scholarship was established by Julie Chuo to honor the memory of her late husband. He worked as a pathologist in New York, Michigan and Alabama until his retirement. Julie worked as a registered nurse certified in gerontology nursing and the couple raised two daughters. Recipients of this scholarship shall be students in good academic standing pursuing a medical degree at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Preference shall be given to students with financial need and/or historically underrepresented socioeconomic groups.
