Newmont Mining Corporation-John S. Livermore Scholarship

John Sealy Livermore was instrumental in the early discovery of the Carlin Trend, one of the richest districts in the world and where Newmont Mining Corporation has been mining continuously since 1965. In his honor, this scholarship, originally established in 1996, was renamed in 2013. Recipients will be full-time first-year or transfer students at the Mackay School. Recipients will maintain a 3.0 GPA while on the scholarship.
