Henry Stoneson Firehouse Endowed Scholarship

Henry Stoneson and his brother, Ellis, were pioneer San Francisco builder/developer who were gentlemen, visionaries, and philanthropists and men with good senses of humor. It was often said that Henry would dream of angles and Ellis would put them together. This culminated in the creation of Stonestown in the early 1950s, a shopping center and apartment complex that exists today on 19th Avenue in San Francisco as the Stonestown Galleria. This award is being established by his grandson, Geoffrey Henry Stoneson House ’75 (social services corrections) and granddaughter-in-law, Alice Christine House. Recipients shall be active full-time local firefighters and their children and spouses.
